Now that winter has arrived, it’s time to take steps to protect your Mitsubishi vehicle from the elements. At North End Motors in Boston, our certified technicians have some tips to help you survive these cold months.

Check Your Car Battery

Have you ever come out in the morning to a dead car battery? What’s worse is when it happens in the dead of winter. Car batteries are prone to dying in the winter because the colder weather reduces capacity. If you have an older battery, it might be a good time to have it checked out by a trained technician before it doesn’t work anymore.

Check Your Tires

Driving on snow-covered roads requires that you have well-performing tires. Start by checking the tire pressures to ensure your safety. Then, look over the tires for any sign of wear. If something doesn’t look right to you, it’s time to have the tires checked by a trained technician.

Inspect the HVAC System

If you want to stay warm this winter, you need a defroster and heat. If this system isn’t running at full capacity, you might not be able to clear the windows and you could end up very cold. Get it fixed and stay warm.

Top Off Fluids

You need to check all of the fluids to make sure nothing is low. This includes your oil, transmission fluid, coolant and windshield washer fluid. Also, make sure you always have at least a half tank of fuel. This keeps your fuel tank from freezing.

We are ready to help you take care of your vehicle this winter. Call to make an appointment with our factory-trained technicians and we will inspect your car for winter. Together, we can make sure you don’t get stranded with a dead battery or flat tire.
