The Jeep was formally an American military vehicle used to transport soldiers and supplies off-road and over rugged terrain. When the vehicle was mainstreamed for civilian use, its past traits came along for the ride. Today Jeep is synonymous for off highway trekking, rock climbing and mudding. With that in mind, the vehicle is perfectly practical for commuting and carrying the family around town as well.

-used Jeeps are known to hold up for years because of sturdy construction and good framework. You still see Jeeps from the 80's on the streets today for this very reason

-to make sure of the above statement, ascertain the previous owner changed the oil on a regular basis and had the car in for its regularly required maintenance
